Summary :
The Manager, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Regulatory and Compliance department, while providing answers and support to clients (internal and external) of a technical nature, including integration inquiries and general account set up. Ensure that new regulations issued by CBSA are communicated, implemented and complied with.
Duties :
- Provide support to sales department regarding new account set-ups, implement integration tools and answer client queries
- Act as advisor to clients regarding customs legislation, new initiatives, compliance and regulations while identifying regulatory opportunities as obtaining rulings and duty deferral applications
- Provide direction to and oversee the performance of the department
- Create and maintain reporting structure in CRM individually per client
- Approve newsflash’s for distribution to clients and branch
- Identify and recommend QC cases to help reduce errors
- Work toward departmental goals i.e. win to start
- Meet with team weekly for updates
- Stay current with upcoming regulatory changes impacting the Willson International client base
- Ensure all new CBSA / PGA initiatives are communicated to VP
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure goals are met while providing the best service to our clients
- Hold a position and be active on a board or committee relative to Regulatory requirements
- Occasional travel may be required
- All other duties as assigned
