Job description1-2 years experience in a similar internal communications role, ideally within the retail sector Demonstrated ability to create content (written, video, audio etc.) for a range of audiences, which is creative, engaging, informative and clear. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and partner effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leaders. Experience using technology platforms for internal communications, including Teams, Slack, and / or misc enterprise social networks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in both English & French. Strong attention to detail and task oriented. Must have a high sense of urgency. Being both proactive and organized. Openness to feedback and willingness to develop. Being passionate and knowledgeable about streetwear and sneaker culture. Experience with Gmail, Google Docs / Sheets, Canva, SmartSheet is an asset. Having worked in a high-volume footwear & apparel retail environment.

THE ROLE
Based out of Vancouver or Toronto, the communications coordinator will ensure our retail teams are provided with the right information, process, and support to help deliver the JD experience. In this newly created role, we're looking for someone who is passionate about achieving exceptional outcomes for our team members, and our customers. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, complex, and entrepreneurial environment. This role will have a detailed understanding of store operations and will be the 'go-to' person and gatekeeper for communications to the retail teams. Our ideal candidate will have experience working within a high-volume retail environment and a strong understanding of all the different activities store teams face day to day.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Create daily / weekly / monthly communications (i.e. briefs, newsletters, posts) designed for our store team members.
- Ensure our retail teams are informed, have the right information at the right time, and feel connected & engaged (i.e. job love!)
- Collaborate & integrate with various cross functional partners & teams. Ensuring our retail team members are always top of mind for planning & communication purposes.
- Test & trial new formats to deliver informative, relevant, and engaging content including video, audio, graphics and written communication.
- Develop our brand voice and apply consistency to all store communications.
- Working with the head of retail operations, you will measure and track the effectiveness of communications program & formats
