What you’ll be doing in the role :
Respond to client calls, mail, emails in a prompt and friendly manner ensuring a high level of service is maintained at all times
Responsible for New Business workflows with Account Executives
Review renewals and make recommendations, completing comparison quotes and remarket when needed. Ensuring renewals are delivered to the clients in a timely matter.
Review and issue Certificates of Insurance
Accurately handle change requests with attention to risk management
Handle Complex Accounts to provide creative, effective solutions that meet the needs of clients
Function as a front-line underwriter for qualifying, maintaining, and promoting sound quality business
Support clients with reporting claims and follow up in a timely manner to ensure quality service from insurance partners
Manage account receivables for accounts
Work closely with Account Executives to identify other lines of business as cross sell opportunities
Here’s what you will need to be successful :
5 or more years’ experience in the insurance industry with 3 or more years of experience in commercial insurance preferred
RIBO License
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Insurance, Business, Finance, Administration or other area of study is an asset but not mandatory
Positively adapts to change and maintains quality of work effectively under pressure
Strong organizational and time management skills
A collaborative, team-player with strong work ethic and accountability
Excellent written and oral communication skills with high regard for attention to detail, confidentiality and respect
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Working towards CAIB or CIP Designation is preferred
Computer proficient : MS Office Suite. Insurance-specific software experience is required. Experience specifically with Power Broker and Policy Works is an asset.
