Position Summary and Scope of Service

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Programs and Services, Health and Transition Services (HTS) and consistent with the Mission, Values and policies of St.Amant, the Supervisor (Clinical), Health & Transition Services (referred to as Supervisor here after) is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Amant business and operations.

The Supervisor plays a key leadership role to ensure person-centred, evidence based care for those supported at St.Amant, their families and caregivers. This role envelops the core values as identified by St.Amant and models same throughout their practice. This position reports to Manager of Infection Prevention & Control and Clinical Collaborative Practices.
Responsibilities of the Supervisor includes :
- Supervises and supports the regulated and non-regulated direct care providers through evaluative processes, improving cultural awareness, overseeing workplace health & safety and infection control protocols
- Works as a team member within the Leadership Framework to support decision making in absentia and in collaboration with other Facility support teams within St.Amant
- Seeks guidance using the Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics and Practice Expectations as defined by College of Registered Nurses , College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses OR college of Licensed Practice Nurses of Manitoba when working with professionals
- Working knowledge of unionized environments and collective agreements

Consistent with the Mission, Philosophy and Policies of St.Amant, the Supervisor facilitates, supports and delegates as required to the regulated professional and non-regulated Direct Care Providers. Knowledge of external regulatory bodies within WRHA and Long Term Care in meeting accreditation standards required. Quality services are evident when professional communication, timeliness, accuracy, ethical awareness / sensitivity, confidentiality are consistently demonstrated as required by legislation and program / service standards.
