We are currently recruiting for one of our clients a renowned organization specializing in Law.
What is in it for you :

Your main responsibilities include :
Oversee accounts payable including invoice processing issuing payments and reconciling outstanding balances in line with client and firm guidelines.
Manage accounts receivable including posting payments and handling credit card transactions.
Lead disbursement processes ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Oversee trustrelated tasks such as depositing and disbursing trust funds in accordance with Law Society regulations.
Prepare and review draft bills ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures ensuring best practices are followed.
Provide regular reports and analysis to the Director of Finance to support decisionmaking.
Manage and mentor junior accounting staff fostering their growth and development.
Handle bank requisitions and monthend closing journal entries.
Take on additional duties as required to support the accounting function and overall firm objectives.
What you will need to succeed :
Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken)
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field is required
Knowledge of accounting software and familiarity with legal or professional services industry billing practices is a plus (experience with software like Elite 3E or similar systems)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles practices and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications particularly Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong client service orientation with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Ability to excel in a fastpaced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is an asset.
Proven leadership and team management experience is preferred.
