The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Manager to oversee the operations of two closed-door pharmacy locations that focus on providing specialty pharmaceutical products and services. The locations are NOT retail pharmacies and patient counselling is generally conducted using virtual platforms. This is a full time, permanent position. Position Description

Unlike retail pharmacies, as our client’s new Pharmacy Manager, you will be ensured Monday to Friday, daytime hours. You will be the Designated Manager for one location, while also managing a Remote Dispensing location in a clinic a setting. In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to, the following :

• Interacting with patients, healthcare professionals and other staff to offer expert advice, address inquiries and ensure exceptional customer service to patients that require accessibility to high-cost drugs, medications that may not be readily accessible, or complex specialty medications
• Monitoring the Cold-Chain pharmaceutical operations. Troubleshooting any discrepancies and compiling corrective action plans.
• Collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy and monitoring of potential drug interactions
• Overseeing quality assurance to ensure adherence to established pharmacy protocols, quality control standards and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest level of patient safety and service
• Online / over the phone medication counseling when required
• Managing a small team; coaching, mentoring and providing direction
• Dealing with an escalated issues
