Overview
Are you a dynamic and energetic personal trainer with a passion for fitness and sports? Do you enjoy working with children and helping them develop their athletic skills and confidence? Join our team as a Personal Trainer with a special focus on Group Sports Training for Children and make a difference in the lives of young athletes!
About Us
At Generations Aquatic & Fitness Centre, we are dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and sportsmanship in our community. Our programs focus on inspiring children and individuals of all ages to lead active lifestyles while building skills, confidence, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and group training sessions for clients, focusing on fitness and athletic performance.
Lead group sports training sessions for children aged 10-18, teaching fundamental sports skills and promoting physical activity.
Design and implement customized fitness and sports training plans tailored to individual and group needs.
Create fun and engaging drills, activities, and exercises to enhance athletic performance, coordination, and teamwork.
Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive training environment for all participants.
Monitor and assess progress, offering encouragement and constructive feedback to clients and young athletes.
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about their child’s development and goals.
Qualifications
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or relevant fitness / sports coaching certifications.
Experience working with children in a fitness or sports coaching capacity is beneficial.
Strong knowledge of one or more sports (e.g., soccer, basketball, tennis) and ability to teach fundamental skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children and adults.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).
Energetic, creative, and passionate about fitness and sports for youth development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing training programs for children of various skill levels.
Background in kinesiology, physical education, or a related field is beneficial.
Familiarity with youth development principles and techniques.
