Chainalysis Inc.ON, CanadaChainalysis is the market leader in blockchain analytics. Our data platform and analytical capabilities are the foundation for our investigation, transaction monitoring and customer-facing data products.
We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager in our Data Products team. This team is responsible for exposing Chainalysis intelligence to customers through REST APIs and other mechanisms to drive customers’ missions forward whether that is combating ransomware or monitoring illicit activity or decentralization in the stablecoin ecosystem.
As part of your responsibilities, you will work with customers, data scientists and engineers to define and curate new mission specific datasets for users of our data products. You will also own all customer-facing training, onboarding and documentation for our data products. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys diving deep and translating complex data and product problems into crystal clear product requirement documents and roadmaps. As part of this role, you will work with other PMs, Customer Success, Sales, Data Science, Design and Engineering.
In this role, you’ll :
Be an expert in all Chainalysis datasets, the workflows they support and can successfully lead the creation of new datasets.
Map our customers’ most critical workflows in investigations, threat intelligence and other domains to data problems and create a framework for prioritizing new datasets for our customers.
Define and curate 10s of mission specific datasets for our external customers and lead the engineering team to expose them through our customer facing data products.
Create robust customer facing documentation and training programs on all of our datasets and how they can be leveraged for customer workflows.
Create a self-service customer onboarding experience for Chainalysis data products so that customers become proficient in leveraging our datasets for their workflows within days of onboarding.
Set clear OKRs for the team, get buy-in from your stakeholders and start delivering against those OKRs. You understand the controllable inputs into the team’s OKRs.
Implement robust planning processes, created clear roadmaps and rallied the data science and engineering teams around the OKRs.
Create several clearly-written PRDs and launch new features in our products.
Create frameworks for prioritization between customer requests vs. research-led modeling initiatives.
We’re looking for candidates who have :
Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Economics or a quantitative discipline preferred.
Comfortable conducting data analysis independently - e.g. SQL, Tableau, Python, Excel and / or other.
Experience in building data products or products with a significant data component, e.g. recommendation products or search / discovery products.
An obsession with clear written communication to break down complex problems into easy-to-understand solution and execution plans.
Minimum 5 years of work experience or minimum 3 years of product management or data focused experience (e.g. data scientist, data analyst etc) with proven results.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills still delivering timely results.
A Just Do It attitude and ability to move with urgency and customer obsession.
An ownership mindset - acts and makes decisions on behalf of the company, not just the team. Never heard of the words “not my job”.
Nice to have experience :
Experience in the crypto industry and / or understanding of blockchain data.
You were a software engineer or data scientist in a previous role.
