The Department of Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking a qualified full-time academic Clinical Immunologist and Allergist. The successful candidate must be eligible for a Full-time Clinical Academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher (CT), Clinician Educator (CE) or Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI). The expected start date of the position is July 1, 2025, or shortly thereafter.

The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and have, or be eligible for, certification in Clinical Immunology and Allergy by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The successful candidate must have proven clinical excellence in various aspects of Clinical Immunology and Allergy. The successful candidate will also have or be working towards a graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to their area of specialization. The successful candidate will participate in the educational programs in Clinical Immunology and Allergy at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto and collaborate in clinical research and quality improvement programs. The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy at St. Michael’s Hospital. The Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, composed of three full time academic specialists, has an international reputation in clinical research in the understanding of the pathophysiology and treatment of anaphylaxis, urticaria, angioedema, immunodeficiency, and the newly developed rapid drug desensitization programs.
