About the role
We’re looking for a Claims Consultant, Specialty to join our growing Specialty Claims team!
NOTE : The level of role offered will be determined based on skills, experience and education.
What you'll do here :
- Investigate and maintain highly complex defence and coverage claims in Specialty Lines.
- Manage class actions and extraordinary matters.
- Anticipate internal and / or external business challenges and / or regulatory issues; recommend process, product or service improvements.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, including with business development efforts.
- Conduct coverage analysis. Handle complex coverage issues, draft reservation of rights and denial letters.
- Participate in settlement conferences, mediations, pre-trial and hearings.
- Initiate reserve movements, approve settlements and process payments within established authorization levels.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, training, support and guidance to various key stakeholders and team members.

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity :
103,200.00 - $154,800.00
