Job descriptionEnsure strict adherence to Nasittuq’s safety, environmental, and operational procedures. Communicate effectively with teams to ensure awareness of safety measures. Work in various Arctic environments, often in remote locations. Perform other duties as assigned. Education : Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent. Land Claim Beneficiaries of the Nunavut, Inuvialuit, and Nunatsiavut Land Claim Agreements will be prioritized for this role. Skills & Abilities : Ability to travel frequently by helicopter and small aircraft. Physically fit, able to walk on uneven terrain in Arctic conditions. Strong problem-solving skills, professionalism, and confidentiality. Effective communication skills with diverse groups. Competitive Pay : $25.10 - $31.37 per hour. Work-Life Balance : Casual, as-needed scheduling for flexibility. Travel & Adventure : Experience unique Arctic environments while making an impact. Nasittuq Corporation (from the Inuktitut word meaning “looking out from the highest point”) operates and maintains the North Warning System (NWS), a critical joint Canada-US radar network with 47 sites across Northern Canada.

SCOPE
The General Labourer supports North Warning System operations by ensuring the safety of personnel during outdoor work across northern locations. This role involves :
- Perform various duties assigned, which are unplanned or of a transient nature that may include trips to or working at the Northern sites.
- Traveling with teams during assigned projects.
- Supporting seasonal projects, including sealift operations.

Strong knowledge of Northern wildlife risks considered an asset(bears, wolves, wolverines).
