We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Geotechnical and Materials Engineering team in Lethbridge, AB. This position will be on a contract basis and will commence immediately until November of 2024. The successful candidate will be expected to work between 40 to 60 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $26-30. Responsibilities :
- Working on transportation infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects in both a field and laboratory environment.
- Performing field and laboratory testing of soil, aggregates, and asphalt concrete including, soil and aggregate sieve analysis, and density testing using nuclear density gauges.
- Preparation of Proctors and Marshall molds, asphalt cement content, sand equivalents, Atterberg limits and moisture content, including evaluation and reporting of properties and characteristics.
- Assisting in providing quality control and quality assurance on a variety of laboratory and field testing projects.
- Assisting in preparation of field and testing reports.
- Other duties required to conduct our business and build on the job knowledge.
