Position Summary
The Systems Manager, Trading and Operations is a full-time, Vancouver office-based position within the middle office of Dixon Mitchell Investment Counsel, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Operating Officer with the management of Dixon Mitchell’s Portfolio Management System, including building and documenting workflows for portfolio management activities, trading, settlements, reporting, performance measurement, and billing.
- Analyze and identify process inefficiencies, provide solutions, and implement improvements.
- Develop and implement appropriate, customized software (mostly SQL and Python scripts) to advance and automate processes.
- Ensure necessary checks and verification steps are in place and used diligently to minimize trading and non-trading activity errors.
- Manage Dixon Mitchell’s Salesforce instance.
- Manage internal and external deadlines in a timely manner, effectively resolve conflicting priorities, and negotiate workable timeframes with Executives and other business participants.
- Effectively communicate processes and provide training to team members.
- Use your knowledge of company operations, policies, and initiatives to proactively perform all your duties with high accuracy, diligence, and minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced environment. Must be confident and provide clear instructions, and ensure processes are efficient and effective.
