We are looking for a fractional CFO to help us grow our purpose-driven healthcare recruitment start-up. We hope this role will transition into a full-time position once we have scaled up (in approximately 1 to 1.5 years hopefully).ABOUT US : Closer Recruitment is a purpose-driven recruitment start-up specializing in healthcare. PURPOSE OUR COMPANY : The purpose of our company is to improve the lives of healthcare organizations, healthcare professionals, and patients. Some examples of missions that inspire us : Placing a healthcare professional in an underserved area, giving 3,000+ patients access to healthcare for the first time in years.Helping a foreign-trained healthcare professional navigate the complexities of their licensing in Canada and placing them in a great organization for them. You would have prevented a very stressful period for them, and they can now support their immediate family with stability while also helping their extended family abroad.Preventing staff burnout by placing professionals in supportive environments or advising healthcare organizations on how to implement these environments.Finding someone a role closer to home, allowing them to spend an extra two hours per day with their family.PURPOSE OF THE ROLEThe purpose of your role will be to help monitor, maintain and grow the financial potential and safety of our Group. This will allow us to create an impact on the lives of healthcare organisations, healthcare professionals and patients.MAIN MISSIONOur group will start small, with approximately 10 people. This small structure will allow us to establish a strong foundation for our group in an agile manner prior to scaling up.Key priorities during this phase include :
- Setting up our Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Compliance functions.
- Establishing a robust Accounts Receivable framework and processes.
- Developing a strong Financial Planning framework (focused on cash flow).
- Ensuring compliance with and optimization of taxation.
- Implementing and configuring suitable Accounting Software solutions.
- Setting up intercompany transactions and a transfer pricing framework.
