We are currently hiring a full-time Assistant Pastry Chef to join our team in Milton. Candidates must have flexibility and be available to work during the week, on the weekends & holidays and to start work as early as 6:00am.

The rate of pay is $17.60-$22.00/hour (dependent on related experience)

In this role, the successful candidate will have a passion for making delicious desserts and a passion to learn. The role is focussed on assisting the pastry team and will involve cleaning and dishwashing.

What You Will Do:

• Assist pastry team with various food prep needs;
• Responsible for cleaning and dishwashing;
• Assist with pastry assembly and finishing;
• Assist with cookies - rolling, cutting, finishing;
• Assist with other baked goods - assembly/finishing
• Assist with creating edible decorative fondant/chocolate pieces
• Assist pastry chefs as required/directed

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of related work experience
• Baking/mixing/assembling knowledge
• Attention to detail
• Enjoy working with a team
