We are currently seeking Health Care Aides to join us at Garneau Hall Seniors Community, a warm and friendly seniors' community in the heart of Edmonton.
As a Health Care Aide at Garneau Hall, you will :
- Provide resident-focused care in a home-like environment, respecting the individual and dignity of each resident / family and co-workers.
- Participate in all aspects of personal resident care to ensure the physical, psychological, and social needs of the resident / family are met.
- Establish communication and a working relationship with residents / families and co-workers for the purpose of meeting the resident needs.
- Deliver effective and efficient care under the direction of the supervisor that promotes resident / family choice and acknowledges the resident's strengths, limitations, as well as their need for safety and safety of others.
- Assist with serving meals, feeding, and providing nourishment supplements.
- Respond to any resident in need regarding call bells, telephone ringing, and assisting any employee in need of help.
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing and other personal hygiene activities.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement.
- Create a facility environment that protects confidentiality of residents, staff, and activities of the community.
