We are the largest independently owned and operated Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Broker in Canada, and 4th largest overall. Established in 2014, SCB is growing rapidly and looking for talented individuals to join our team.
About the Role
This is a remote position. In this role you are responsible for the following :
Client Management – Manage book of business within Sterling Brokers Small Business Portfolio
Annual Renewals – Reviewing, presenting, and selling annual renewals to clients within your book of business
Proactive Outreach – Developing and executing strategies that involve proactive outreach to our clients who are experiencing meaningful growth or downsizing along with sharing relevant industry trends to add value as their trusted advisor
Product Enhancements – Identifying and executing opportunities to improve Total Rewards offering for employers and plan members (i.e. Group Retirement Services, Individual insurance)
Client Escalations – Working closely with the service team to project managing problem solving when a client is experiencing an unusual issue related to their benefits. You will help connect the correct individuals within the organization to help resolve the clients' issues
Required Skills
- Secondary School Diploma, Post Secondary an asset
- Group Benefits experience in a small to medium size brokerage or carrier business
- Holds a valid provincial Life Insurance License (LLQP) in good standing with their provincial regulatory body
- 3+ years previous experience as an account manager or similar role where you managed a book of business and have presented QBRs and renewals
- Computer Literacy : MS Word packages, Slack, Confluence / Atlassian (nice to have), Excel, Salesforce or other applications.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and good telephone manner. In this role you must be comfortable taking and receiving calls as part of client management. The role may involve calls with clients, suppliers and internal team members. You will be required to correspond by email with your client group and internal team members and must be well written.
- Ability to clearly articulate and independently manage conversations with senior level stakeholders within SCB's referral partner and / or client base
- Ability to take ownership of client relationships by identifying and removing blockers and managing cross functional stakeholders
- Experience working out of CRM and automation tools such as Salesforce, Monday.com, Zendesk etc.
- A positive and resilient attitude to get through the hard days and constantly drive to improve personally and professionally
