BRAND MANAGER Full time, Permanent Location : Concord, ON. (Occasional travel for audits, and a National Meeting trip to the USA once a year) Hours : 8am to 4pm or 8 : 30am to 4 : 30pm or 9am-5pm (client has flexibility on hours) Salary : Up to – 90K + Up to 25% Bonus Company : Our client is a worldwide leader in consumer products. The primary result expected from the Brand Manager will be to oversee the category of brands within a Strategic platform.The Brand Manager will also be responsible for driving new product success in their category, setting strategic brand market positioning and maintenance, directing brand communications projects, tracking brand performance indicators, and developing value added competitive reconnaissance and communications for the sales team. Additionally, responsible for taking on special projects based on established corporate goals. Responsibilities : Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following : Create and lead execution of brand plans and strategies, both short and long term.Drive innovation within the category of brands, leveraging US initiatives.Drive Profitable New Product Initiatives and platform ideation.Perform category, competitive, customer and self-brand situation analysis of trends and results,documenting implications to the business.Lead all packaging activities for brands managed.Represent brands in line-reviews and in sales presentations to retail partners.Help develop creative briefs and brand creative and consumer communications, including advertisingpromotions and other consumer communications.Devise Brand Promotions, working closely with sales team to meet and exceed customers’ needs andmetrics.Track and monitor product performance, including POS reports, profitability, distribution, and consumerfeedback.Lead product education within the organization, including developing webinars, sell sheets, brochures, andproduct knowledge sessions.Lead and participate in special projects as required based on corporate goals. Qualifications : Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in brand management, preferably in Retail.Experience in Hardlines, Paint and Coatings, Retail and / or Consumer Packaged Goods would be an assetExperience in Marketing is essentialBachelor’s Degree and / or post-secondary education in Business Management with a Marketing Focus, or equivalent experienceAbility to successfully communicate with all levels of the organization is criticalProven leadership, decision-making, problem solving, negotiating and project management skills are requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe selected candidate will be results oriented and a high performer, who is customer focused, reliable, adaptable and diligentStrong presentation and facilitation skills are requiredProficiency using MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPointExcellent organizational skills
