What is the Opportunity?
The Director of Cross-border Acquisition and Engagement Strategy is responsible for overall client growth, including the evolution, refinement, and health of the cross-border value proposition. This role ensures profitable client growth and develops cross-border acquisition and retention revenue strategies, including key initiatives, oversight, and reporting. The Director is accountable for the success of RBC Bank's Cross-Border value proposition and solutions team responsible for the creation, development, execution, and supervision of the Everyday Banking, Business Banking, and Real Estate Financing products, services, and growth strategies across RBC Bank. This includes Retail and Business Savings and Deposits accounts, Debit Cards & Cash Access, Foreign Exchange, Credit Cards & Payments, PLOCs, Rewards & Partnerships, Mortgages, and HELOCs. The role will develop forecasts for new-client acquisition and strategies to achieve acquisition and engagement goals. In close collaboration with Sales and Marketing, this position will design and optimize offers across segments and identify segment expansion opportunities both within and outside RBC. Leveraging data and insights from the RBC Bank portfolio, the role will develop cross-border engagement strategies to retain and deepen client relationships.
What will you do?
- Set the Product Value Proposition Strategy and Vision for RBC Bank’s Cross-Border Product suite aligning client needs with financial and growth expectations.
- Oversee development and execution of RBC’s value proposition considering RBC’s broader business strategy and complex regulations.
- Build close partnerships with RBC business partners to ensure alignment and achieve strategic objectives.
- Lead the execution of the product roadmap, ensuring prioritization based on business benefits and interdependencies.
- Foster alignment and standardization of initiative business cases leveraging profitability and cost models.
- Deeply understand revenue and cost drivers to optimize financial results and develop success metrics.
- Leverage data and analytics to gain insights into risks and opportunities for growth and client experience improvements.
- Identify and manage existing and emerging Product Risks and coordinate first line of defense processes.
- Digest business performance reporting and initiate actions to optimize product acquisition and profitability.
- Oversee all vendor relationships that support the Banks’ Retail and Business Banking Product suite.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, IT, Operations, and Distribution channels to deliver product offerings.
- Accountable for RBC Bank’s product value proposition and product strategy ensuring effective alignment and improvement.
- Collaborate with key business partners to ensure the voice of the client is reflected in the value proposition.
- Lead a high-performing Solutions team to ensure optimal performance of Banking products.
- Accountable for client acquisition and retention strategies and outcomes.
- Manage the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting process for net-acquisition activities.
- Optimize cost per acquisition across channels, segments, and offers.
- Lead initiatives and strategies to grow client acquisition and reduce attrition.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align growth strategies with business objectives.
- Lead development of customer segmentation strategies for personalized marketing campaigns.
- Analyze Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and key performance metrics to assess effectiveness of growth initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory environment and customer preferences to inform strategic decision-making.
- Represent and explain acquisitions performance and insights to business stakeholders.
- Partner with RBC Canada teams to determine acquisition priorities and execution plans.
- Develop new acquisition programs and channels to support growth and analyze results.
