Job descriptionLocal applicants will be given preference due to the location of the work Accommodations provided for out of town applicants in Hinkler Lake, Chapleau and White River As we respond to various weather patterns, shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required Work schedules will consist of either 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off or 6 consecutive days followed by 1 day off, with daily shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours (Shop specific) CLAC union position Operate 2 ton trucks, snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.) Work outside in all weather conditions Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50lbs on a regular basis, bending, kneeling, crouching etc. Valid D driver’s license with air endorsement Provide a copy of a 3-year commercial driver’s abstract Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and / or wheel loader is a strong asset

Rates & Premiums
- Will be provided a base hourly rate of $25.00 / hour
- Operators will be eligible to receive premiums starting at $5 / hour, when performing winter maintenance operations
