Power Engineer 5 / Maintenance Worker V
Location : Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital, Nelson, BC
Hours : Casual position with possible day shifts from 06 : 30 to 15 : 32. Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre‑scheduled to cover leaves.
Your Role :
- Operate and maintain the power plant or low‑pressure steam plant to ensure optimal functionality of boilers, air conditioning units, emergency power systems, and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and trades duties approaching the journeyman level in electrical, plumbing, and painting.
- Adhere to applicable codes and regulations.
- Supervise Maintenance Workers and other designated staff, contributing to a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained facility environment.
