Our client in Edmonton is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in supporting the daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, combined with proficiency in Excel, Sage 300, and Salesforce. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and help manage financial data efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, including journal entries and accruals.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Use Excel to perform data analysis and prepare reports for management, including financial trends and projections.
• Manage Sage 300 system for accounts and financial data, ensuring accurate entry and reporting.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain and update financial information in Salesforce.
• Prepare and assist in audit processes and provide supporting documentation as required.
• Assist with tax preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide support to management on financial queries and reports.
