Job description

You know your classics, but how to add a twist

Use your talent to create the best mixes and the most inventive cocktail menus as part of a team of flavors and essences. We're looking for a passionate Lead Bartender for Norca restaurant, located inside of Le Germain Ottawa, to develop the drinks menu, make wine list selections and share the latest trends with peers. This outstanding customer service person with a natural talent for communication listens to others and takes their needs and expectations into consideration in everything they do.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Ensure the smooth running of the bar.
  • Train, support and motivate team members in their tasks and development.
  • Share the bar's needs with the person in charge of food and beverage supplies so as to always have the right quantities on hand.
  • Comply with current laws and regulations regarding alcohol.
  • Check equipment and product storage to ensure the establishment's cleanliness and safety standards are met at all times.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a senior bartender
  • Positive and effective leadership to inspire and mobilize a team
  • Sharp knowledge of cocktail creation and trends around alcohol, beer and wine
  • Good physical fitness : standing for several hours at a time, lift / carry loads of up to 50 lb
  • Knowledge of restaurant cash register systems
