Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsperson to join our team for a permanent, full-time position. The successful candidate will have at least 1-2 years of experience and will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings of plumbing and HVAC systems for industrial and commercial projects. You will work closely with our project engineers, utilizing their markups to produce accurate and high-quality drawings using AutoCAD software.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop detailed mechanical drawings of plumbing and HVAC systems for industrial and commercial projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Collaborate with project engineers to interpret markups and translate design concepts into accurate, comprehensive drawings.
Utilize AutoCAD software to create, modify, and finalize drawings, incorporating necessary details and revisions.
Follow established drafting standards and company guidelines to ensure consistency in drawing presentation and quality.
Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, including drawings, mark-ups, and related documentation.
Communicate effectively with project team members to resolve design issues and ensure project deadlines are met.
Participate in project meetings and design reviews as required.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes and standards within the team.
Qualifications :
Certificate or diploma in drafting technology, engineering technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, with a focus on mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
Proficient in using AutoCAD software, with knowledge of relevant commands, shortcuts, and customization.
Strong understanding of engineering design principles and drafting standards.
Familiarity with plumbing and HVAC systems, as well as relevant building codes and industry standards is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
