Job description

Role : Mechanical Designer / Engineer

Location : North York, Toronto

Salary : $55k-$65k + (Based on Experience)

Our client in North York is looking to add a Mechanical designer to join their team! This multidisciplinary firm has a team of 30 and is looking to add a junior to intermediate designer to their team.

The team has projects consisting of a diverse portfolio within the GTA. They have been awarded successful certification for LEED Gold for several projects in the area.

Qualifications :

3+ years of experience in mechanical design in the consulting building space
Demonstrate strong desire for career advancement and professional development
Ability to problem solve and deal with complex situations driven by timelines
Must have Revit and AutoCAD experience - educational and / or work knowledge
Familiar with HVAC, plumbing systems, and develop layout schematics
Must be comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities :

Performing specific tasks assigned by Project Manager in defined time

Adhere to AutoCAD and AutoCAD MEP standards

Work with other teams to review drawings

Review, revise, and redesign drawings

To perform sizing of duct and pipe services in accordance with office standards

Check layouts of mechanical services for interferences / clashes with other components of the building such as structure, ceilings, lighting, etc.

To be familiar with mechanical load calculations

Any other tasks assigned by Principals or Project Managers required to assist in the success of the firm.
