About YOU

We are seeking a creative, empathetic, and collaborative individual to join us in the role of Interior Designer to help us enrich and enhance important community spaces. The successful candidate will work as part of a focused team, foster client relationships and be responsible for interior design implementation at all project stages, including conceptual, design development, construction documentation, and contract administration.

Required Skills :

• Knowledge of commercial interior design, industry standards, and building codes.
• Demonstrates excellent design and communication skills.
• Understands technical aspects of material selections such as assemblies and implications of their use including infection control and harm prevention.
• Knowledge of interior detailing, construction documents, and industry standards.
• Experience with trauma-informed design and stakeholder engagement strategies such as “Empathy Mapping” and “Visual Listening” is preferred, or a willingness to learn is key.
• Experience with daycare planning to provincial standards would be preferred.
• Experience with universal design strategies, including accessibility & inclusivity.
• Experience with 21st century Learning Environments or a willingness to learn.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience coordinating with consultants is preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and working in a BIM environment.
