We are seeking a Course Designer to join our Driver Development team. As the Course Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating Driver-centric training programs delivered through a variety of instructional methods, primarily e-learning. This role will review current state of learning course content and propose new approaches to how learning is designed and scheduled. Key responsibilities include :
Design and develop Safety and Driver Development related training programs using a variety of instructional methods such as e-learning, instructor-led, self-directed, and on-the-job learning.
Engage subject matter experts and operations leaders to ensure learning objectives are aligned with performance expectations and KPIs.
Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions on all developed course work to Driver Development teams and subject matter experts.
Research and recommend learning design best practices and external training resources that compliment internal training programs.
Demonstrate and encourage creative thinking as it relates to course work and learning schedules.
Champion learning projects and monitor the implementation and communication to ensure successful delivery.
Design graphics and diagrams to support learning content and develop supporting course materials.
Create applicable quizzes and exams to ensure learning objectives have been met and ensure all answer keys are updated as changes are made.
Participate in the selection and implementation of new e-learning development software as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate will possess :
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Adult Education and / or Course Design or a combination of relevant professional experiences combined with education.
Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar e-learning development tool considered an asset.
Project management experience and education considered an asset.
Proven strengths in training facilitation to large classes with varying learning abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desire to work in dynamic, continuous improvement environment.
