Profile Summary :
The Industrial Mechanic / Millwright is a key role in the Engineering Department reporting to the Design and Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for the development, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning of forestry industry equipment. This position requires a combination of industrial maintenance experience, effective technical knowledge and ability to understand and execute design requirements. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving ability and capable of working well in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development
- Contribute to the design process by drawing upon understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment and previous industry experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including engineering team, business development, suppliers, and contractors.
- In collaboration with designers, select appropriate technologies, systems, materials and equipment specifications.
- Support prototyping and testing of new equipment designs.
