Founded in 2023, 2K Sports Lab is the newest stand‑alone studio at 2K looking to push game development boundaries to bring 2K's next groundbreaking sports franchise to life. We're building a world‑class team at our new Vancouver, BC location where our goal is to deliver an exceptional experience through bold ideas, technical excellence, and creative collaboration. We're seeking passionate and driven professionals across all areas of game development to help shape this ambitious vision. If you’re interested in tackling unique challenges and think you have what it takes to level up our team, we encourage you to apply!

What We Need

Our studio is looking for a Producer to partner with Sr. Producers on the team and who sets a high quality bar, values efficiency, productivity and the satisfaction that comes from helping a team do their best work. We’re seeking someone who is passionate about building games and has the ability to inspire teams to strive for excellence. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with exceptional organizational and communication skills, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with design and tech peers to ensure the impact and quality of established goals and deliverables for your group
  • Make it your business to become well versed in the features being built for the game which will allow you to run your sub‑team and appropriately prioritize the team’s work in partnership with designers.
  • Project Manage your group
  • Align with the Producer lead to iterate on and develop structure and workflows in Jira and other project management tools such as Flow
  • Work with the team to help coordinate, focus, prioritize and track progress
  • Ensure roadblocks for the team are removed
  • Decompose long term efforts into incremental steps, planning and communicating road maps and risks to all stakeholders
  • Drive effective process within your group
  • Work with multi‑disciplinary teams of designers, engineers and artists to establish, prioritize, plan and deliver on short‑term and long‑term goals for the project
  • Drive alignment, resolve ambiguity, and clarify technical and design strategy to improve your impact
  • Partner with a senior producer to build, enhance Jira workflow and tools, evaluate and add plugins that will help streamline either workflows or reports and dashboards
  • Manage the structure and morale of your team in collaboration with your team leads
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve your team's objectives
  • Work with dev team (internal) stakeholders and across partner teams (external) as needed to share vision, resolve dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of feature inputs and requirements
  • You will play the game. Through understanding our game, you will be able to gauge the quality of completed deliverables against the intended quality targets

Who Will Be A Great Fit

  • 3-4 years of game production experience
  • Has completed at least 1 full game development cycle from pre‑production to shipping

  • Organized, excellent communication skills, highly collaborative, open‑minded and has a tendency to be curious
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Passion for games and cares deeply about product quality – is not purely focused on just task management
  • Excellent problem solver with a high degree of common sense
  • Experience setting clear goals, planning and delivering features with cross‑functional teams and multiple competing requirements
  • Excellent project management capabilities, documentation, tracking and visibility
  • Attention to detail and completeness, ability to see around corners, anticipate issues
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts - has the skill to work with engineers and understand technical implications of their work - the “why” behind what they are doing, not just the “what”
  • Project management training in Scrum or other agile framework
  • Very strong experience with Jira and Flow / Shotgrid - not just using an established framework, but also able to build workflows, work with and learn new plug‑ins and assist with tooling within those tools
  • Experience in project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
  • Excellent at cultivating positive working relationships with internal partners and development teams.
  • An engineering background would be an asset
  • Love for sports is an asset
