Job descriptionWork Authorization : Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in Canada will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent. Reading comprehension and writing skills are required. Basic computer skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations are preferred. Skills are acquired through on-the-job training and 3-6 months experience as an Operator Asst I. Class 5 non-GDL driver's license required with the ability to obtain a Class 1 license. Halliburton will support successful candidates in the necessary Class 1 license course once employed. Must be able to provide a copy of driver's abstract. This position requires you to coordinate your own local housing in the Grande Prairie area during scheduled time on. Schedule : 15 days on / 6 days off with overtime eligibility. Halliburton reserves the right to adjust schedules based on industry needs.

Job Description
Job Duties :
- Under strict supervision, assists senior operators and / or performs frac-specific job roles (e.g., proppant, chemicals, blenders, QA / QC, etc.).
- Learns basic operations to include but not limited to : performing pre / post job equipment inspections, performing and completing preventative maintenance procedures and operating support equipment (e.g., proppant handling, fluid tanks, suction manifolding, discharge manifold equipment, etc.).
- Completes requisite training and demonstrates competency as defined for current and next level.
- Assists in assembly and preparation of equipment for installation and service.
- Assists in the cleanup, repair, and preparation for the next job.
- Exhibits safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Participates in quality and continuous improvement processes.
