About the Opportunity

Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounting Team. Hire and train new employees.

Oversees preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual financials for Canada and U.S.

Reviews and verifies the accuracy of non-recurring journal entries and adjustments.

Establish KPIs and report on those metrics monthly.

Ensure critical internal controls, processes and procedures are documented and working effectively.

Provide intelligence into analytics that may include actual, forecast, and budget commentaries.

Responsible for directing the treasury services for the organizations, including weekly cash forecasting.

Creates and implements financial policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting process more efficient and accurate.

Safeguards assets and assures accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.

Compile annual strategic objectives for the Finance & Accounting team.

Develop and oversee the annual budgeting and forecast process.

Create and execute a plan to improve the quality and timing of financial reporting.

Oversee the annual audit process and tax filings.

Complete ad hoc requests from the CEO / CFO and other business partners in a timely manner.

About You

Professional Accounting Designation, MBA or equivalent

10-15 years of relevant experience.

4-5 years of people management experience

Small to mid-sized company experience

Knowledgeable in Systems : ERP and Reporting Standard : ASPE

Salary Range

160,000 - $165,000 / year
