Director of Finance Transformation

About the Company

Our client is a metal distribution company. They are looking for a Director of Finance Transformation who will be responsible for the selection and implementation of a new Financial and Accounting system, the integration of future acquisitions and the evaluation of financial reporting using BI tools. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong knowledge of financial systems including financial controls and interact with the rest of the organization.

Review and understand the current control environment and systems (currently on Oracle EBS) and bring best practices and process enhancements

Prepare a detailed RFQ for a new Financial and Accounting System

Lead the Finance System demonstrations by the selected vendors

Preparation of the Project Charter and Project Plan

Implement a new financial system including integrations with financial institutions and tax authorities

Lead management change and training for the financial system implementation

Member of the implementation team for conversion of various business units from one-off legacy financial platforms

Member of the acquisition diligence team with particular emphasis on financial systems integration.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline finance processes, leveraging automation and technology solutions where applicable.

Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new financial systems and KPIs, dashboards, internal reporting standards and processes across the organization.

Assist in the design and development of dashboards, internal reporting and visualizations to track financial performance, operational metrics, and key business drivers.

Other duties and projects as assigned. About You

University degree in accounting and / or Master of Business Analytics and professional accounting designation (CPA, CA)

Experience in large ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, etc.)

Experience with financial system implementations (lead or SME preferred)

Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements

5+ years of total experience in a public company finance department or large accounting firm

Familiar with a multi-site Canada & U.S. organization

Proven track record of designing and implementing new financial systems, KPIs, dashboards, and process improvement initiatives in a corporate environment.

Salary Range

160,000 - $180,000 / year
