THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you ready to lead and shape the future of pickleball in Alberta? We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Executive Director to establish and grow Pickleball Alberta, a new provincial sport association based in Edmonton. This is a unique opportunity to build an organization from the ground up, providing strategic leadership and operational excellence to promote and develop pickleball across the province.
As the Executive Director, you will drive the organization’s vision, oversee day-to-day operations, and collaborate with key stakeholders to expand the sport's reach and impact. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be accountable for the overall performance of the organization, ensuring its sustainability and success. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a vibrant and inclusive pickleball community throughout Alberta.
Success in this role requires bold leadership, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach. The Board and the Executive Director will work together in a spirit of partnership to achieve shared goals and objectives. Performance will be regularly monitored by the Executive Committee to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and strategic priorities.

Pickleball Alberta serves as the provincial governing body to promote and develop pickleball for everyone. Founded in 2013, Pickleball Alberta has been working to foster the growth of pickleball throughout the province by organizing tournaments, providing training, and offering support to clubs and players of all levels.
Pickleball Alberta is deeply committed to promoting diversity, advancing equity, and fostering a culture of inclusion. It is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy the sport of pickleball, regardless of age, skill level, or background.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Planning & Administration
- Ensuring the operation of the organization meets the expectations of its stakeholders.
- Ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the organization in addition to participating in the development of a long-term vision and promotion of the organization.
