Total Group of Companies is seeking a Journeyman Sprinkler System Technician to join our team in the East Kootenay region of B.C. This role focuses on delivering sprinkler system projects for both external clients and internal operations. The successful candidate will apply advanced fire and life safety principles to the installation, inspection, maintenance, and modification of fire protection sprinkler systems within existing commercial facilities.
Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Fire Systems Specialist, daily task and activities include but are not limited to :
- Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing sprinkler systems
- Inspection, service and troubleshooting of fire water pump systems
- Inspection, service and troubleshooting of fire hydrants
- Perform upgrades, repairs, additions and improvements to systems following inspection
- Respond to service calls as required
- Identify fire code compliance solutions
- Prepare detailed inspection, verification and deficiency reports
- Maintain company equipment, tools and vehicles
- Perform scheduled inspections for safety compliance
- Assist TFS supplemental divisions as required
