Nous recherchons un artiste 3D FX talentueux et créatif pour rejoindre notre équipe. Le candidat idéal sera chargé de créer des effets dynamiques et réalistes pour un projet de "featurette" télévisée. Vous travaillerez en collaboration avec des animateurs, des modélisateurs et des compositeurs pour produire des effets visuels de haute qualité qui améliorent la narration et captivent le public.

Ce que vous ferez :

  • Créer des effets naturels et surnaturels (eau, fumée, poussière, neige, bulles, feu, lave, ombres, explosions, mousse, etc.) pour contribuer au personnage, au lieu ou à l'atmosphère.
  • Fournir des suggestions et des recommandations sur la technique et les éléments dans le contexte de la scène.
  • Faire preuve d'un large éventail de compétences en matière d'effets spéciaux dans un environnement collaboratif afin de conceptualiser et de créer l'aspect général, l'attitude et le style des effets spéciaux.
  • Travailler en collaboration avec le superviseur / artiste principal et l'équipe pour garantir un style cohérent.
  • Intégrer les commentaires des réalisateurs et des superviseurs afin d'améliorer la qualité.
  • Collaborer avec d'autres départements, tels que lighting, le compositing, l'animation et la modélisation, afin d'assurer un flux de travail homogène.
  • Résoudre les problèmes et y remédier, afin d'assurer une intégration harmonieuse dans le pipeline.
  • Travailler dans le respect des délais des projets tout en maintenant des normes de haute qualité.
  • Optimiser les effets pour la performance tout en maintenant la fidélité visuelle.

Ce que vous apporterez :

  • Au moins 5 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de l'animation / VFX
  • Capacité à créer plusieurs types d'effets numériques, de simples à modérément difficiles.
  • Une expérience avec Houdini et Nuke est requise, la connaissance de Maya et Katana est un plus.
  • Connaissance de l'ombrage Renderman, du rendu de volume et de l'expérience du raytracing de préférence.
  • La capacité à écrire des scripts en VEX et en Python est un plus.
  • Expérience de la création d'effets à l'aide de Flip et du solver Vellum de préférence.
  • Compréhension des techniques de physique, lighting et de rendu en rapport avec les effets visuels.
  • Un sens aigu du détail et la capacité de créer des effets réalistes et visuellement étonnants.
  • Solides compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes et capacité à travailler dans des délais serrés.
  • Un esprit créatif et une passion pour repousser les limites des effets visuels.
  • De solides compétences en matière de communication et de collaboration, ainsi que la capacité d'accepter et d'appliquer efficacement le retour d'information.

We are an internationally recognized, Emmy Award®-winning studio – in two prominent Canadian cities, Vancouver and Montreal – and the creative force behind top audience hits such as The Dragon Prince, Rick and Morty, Teen Titans Go!, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

    We are seeking a talented and creative 3D FX Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating dynamic and realistic effects for a TV featurette project. You will work closely with animators, modelers, and compositors to deliver high-quality visual effects that enhance storytelling and immerse the audience.

    What you'll be doing :

  • Create natural and supernatural effects (ie, water, smoke, dust, snow, bubbles, fire, lava, shadows, explosions, foam, etc) to contribute to the character, location, or atmosphere.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations on technique and elements in the context of the scene.
  • Demonstrate a broad range of FX abilities in a collaborative environment to conceptualize and create the overall look, attitude and style of the FX.
  • Work closely with the Supervisor / Lead and team to ensure consistent style.
  • Incorporate feedback from directors and supervisors to improve quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as lighting, compositing, animation and modeling, to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Troubleshoot and address issues, ensuring smooth integration into the pipeline.
  • Work within project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Optimize effects for performance while maintaining visual fidelity.

    • What you bring with you :

  • 5+ years experience in animation / VFX
  • Ability to create multiple types of digital effects from simple to moderately difficult.
  • Experience with Houdini and Nuke are required, knowledge of Maya and Katana are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Renderman shading, volume rendering and raytracing experience preferred.
  • Scripting ability in VEX and Python are a plus.
  • Experience with creating effects using Flip and Vellum solver is preferred.
  • Understanding of physics, lighting, and rendering techniques as they relate to visual effects.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to create realistic and visually stunning effects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • A creative mindset with a passion for pushing the boundaries of visual effects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to take and apply feedback effectively.

    Pay Range : CAD $1,400 - $1,700 per week.
