Summary

What your day will look like as an Assigned Mechanic (AME) :

Assigned mechanics report to the Maintenance Manager. All Assigned Mechanics will supervise and control the maintenance activities of their respective aircraft. Assigned Mechanics are assigned to one or several aircraft to assure the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company procedures and policies;
  • Evaluate maintenance program that meets needs of client (OEM/Progressive);
  • Preparation of annual aircraft maintenance budgets for approval by Maintenance Manager;
  • Maintain aircraft in airworthy condition for on-schedule departures;
  • Communicate with dispatch/operations upon arrival of aircraft, review aircraft status and advise management of any potential downtime that impacts schedule;
  • Control expenditures and maintenance activities on the aircraft;
  • Complete all work order entries in a timely fashion;

Requirements

  • Hold a valid AME license category M2 with approx.10+ years’ experience;
  • Be available to work shifts as needed during major projects;
  • Sound troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Sufficient computer skills to enable interrogation and downloading of information from aircraft and their engines utilizing a PC
  • Customer service oriented with ability to perform under pressure
  • ACA with a Global 6000 endorsement and/or Challenger 600 series type course an Asset
  • Good communicator .
