Job description

Our Client, a Food Product Manufacturer company, is looking for a Project Manager - Mid-level Assignment for their Bolton, ON/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:
  • Is a first line manager (Line Manager ) but can be second LM of a team (> ) with Technical Leadership (Technical) and some Business Operations roles
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with others
  • Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager

  • Requires knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process including; Organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards (, International Standards Organization).
  • Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project(s) on time and to budget.
  • The Activity Manager is responsible to facilitating the commercialization of projects including, Innovation, renovation, and deactivations. The Activity Manager will partner with the Project Lead (generally in Marketing), to facilitate and manage the scoping, planning and timing of any given project. The role is responsible for leading project teams to successfully plan and execute projects On Time and In Full. This role focusses on excellence in execution through leadership of the cross-functional project team, and escalation of options and recommendations as needed to relevant forums, to mitigate risks and unlock opportunities through data based decision making against the project brief.
  • Build and lead effective project teams, and problem solving while managing or supporting projects
  • Track and monitor projects from new products development through to execution
  • Lead the team and the project through the stages and gate process, managing risks and creating mitigation plan;
  • Demonstrate ownership for Continuous Improvement
  • Develop collaborative relationships across all stakeholder and project teams using organizational agility & conflict management skills to proactively manage and mitigate issues

Requirements:
  • + years of business experience (either Brand management/ Innovation, Supply Chain or Finance function), including year of Project Management experience or related work
  • Ability to build and lead effective project teams
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across all stakeholder and project teams
  • Bachelor Degree preferably business admin or commerce, but open to other relevant degrees
