Upper Grade Class Teachers 2025-2026 (Grade 6 )

The Nelson Waldorf School is currently seeking applications for Class Teachers for the grade 6 class. The positions is available immediately.

The Class teachers should have a passion for Waldorf education and the desire to inspire the love of learning in youth. Key qualities are strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. With the responsibility of carrying a class of up to 24 students the successful candidate will have excellent class management and organizational skills.

The responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following :

Deliver the grade 6 Curriculum integrating BC Ministry requirements and Waldorf curriculum

Report on students according to Faculty agreements and BC Ministry requirements

Abide by BC Independent School teacher conduct and competence standards

Lead class parent meetings and field trips

Reports to : Principal

Terms of Employment : Permanent full-time; $52736.00 base salary plus benefits (health disability life insurance and tuition) and increments for related experience and education.

Education and Skill Requirements :

BC Teacher Certification is a must

Completed Waldorf Teacher Training with a clear understanding of Rudolf Steiners education and philosophy will be preferred or willingness to take the Waldorf training.
