Accountant StaffingDartmouth, NSOur client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a contract position in their Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office. Working within a strong finance unit, this position is 4 - 6 months in duration and will play a key role in supporting a busy and cohesive team.
Key Responsibilities for the Job :
Accounts payable processing Sorting, coding and matching purchase orders & invoices Preparing for weekly cheque runs Expense report processing Flagging and resolving invoice irregularities Vendor communication Assisting with other accounting duties as required
Experience & Attributes for Success :
Post-secondary education at the college or university level in business or accounting Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar, AP-focused role Previous experience using SAP software considered a strong asset Strong Microsoft Excel experience Above average attention to detail Excellent time-management skills Effective and professional communication skills Comfortable and efficient working in a paperless environment Ability to work independently when required as well as within a strong team
