Job description

About CSN Collision Centres :

CSN Collision Centres safely repairs more than 200,000 vehicles a year helping Canadians get back on the road with the trust and comfort of knowing their vehicle has been returned to like new condition. Since 2002, CSN has grown to become the leader in collision repair with 200 collision repair Centres across Canada.

Overview :

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Autobody Production Manager & Bookkeeper. This unique position requires a blend of production management expertise and financial acumen to oversee the operational and financial aspects of our autobody repair shop.

  • Recording Transactions :  Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments into the accounting software or ledger system.
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable :  Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of liabilities.
  • Bank Reconciliations :  Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • General Ledger Maintenance :  Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
  • Payroll Processing :  Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting :  Assist in the preparation of financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Preparation Support :  Provide support during tax preparation and audits by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Compliance :  Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding financial records and reporting.
  • Software Proficiency :  Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) proficiently to manage financial transactions and generate reports.
  • Process Improvement :  Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Office Management :  Maintain office supplies inventory and ensure proper functioning of office equipment. Coordinate with vendors for repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Administrative Assistance :  Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. This includes handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and preparing reports and presentations.
  • Customer Service :  Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role minimum experience is 5 years.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper).
