Application Managed Services - SAP Integrations - Technical Consultant

Join EY as a Technical Consultant to lead SAP integrations within our Managed Services team. You will work across multiple clients, ensuring seamless data flow between SAP and non‑SAP systems and contributing to ongoing AMS delivery and client success.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Technical consultant with hands‑on experience in SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and CPI (Cloud Platform Integration). This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide ongoing support for SAP Cloud Integrations within multiple AMS engagements.

Develop and maintain end‑to‑end interfaces.

Configure message mappings (XSLT, JSON / XML), routing logic, and content modifiers for efficient processing.

Monitor integrations and manage service tickets, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.

Participate in release management, regression testing, and deployment of SAP platform releases.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.

Document changes, SOPs, and user guides for client reference.

Stay current with SAP platform updates and AMS delivery trends.

Recommend best practices based on new product features and updates.

Provide training and guidance to client stakeholders and junior consultants.

Collaboration & Client Engagement

Work closely with client stakeholders, AMS delivery leads, and cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

Lead regular client calls to walk through the status of defects, problems, and enhancement requests.

Build strong relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Skills and Qualifications

5+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP CI and SAP API‑M.

Deep knowledge of API frameworks and SAP CI connectors such as OData, SOAP, RESTful Services, IDoc, HTTPS, SFTP, ABAP proxies.

Good understanding of XML / Atom, JSON, EDI, cXML, plain text data formats.

Strong background in Java, Python, or any object‑oriented programming language.

Clear understanding of SAP Cloud Platform (Cloud Foundry) and platform services.

Good understanding of CI / CD pipelines.

Exposure to Kubernetes / Kyma or other cloud native platforms.

Hands‑on experience with SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS).

Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Bonus Points

Exposure to the HR / HCM domain.

Experience with Boomi.

Experience with ABAP programming, ideally with HR‑ABAP custom programs.

Knowledge of PI / PO or other SAP Integration products.

Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and ITIL processes.

Exposure to Agile and ITIL‑based delivery models.

Prior client‑facing consulting or managed‑services experience.

Bilingual (English / French).
