Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
Attention all RN / RPNs we have a position for you! We are looking for qualified nursing professionals to provide in-home overnight support for a pediatric patient in the Guelph area. Training will be provided. CareKW is focused on creating a team of qualified individuals to enhance the health of the community and our clients. We are open to Nurses with a variety of backgrounds and training expertise.
Shift Details
- Location : Kitchener
- Shift timing : 11PM-7AM, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Pay Range : $34.85 - $37.95 per hour

Routine shift activities may include : Medication administration, tracheostomy or oral suctioning, enteral feeding support (g-tube feeds), assist with activities of daily livingPerform physical patient assessments each shift (head-to-toe, respiratory, GI / GU, abdominal, cardiac)Perform patient and family health teaching regarding client conditionMonitor, assess, and document changes in the patient’s conditionCollaborate with the inter-professional healthcare team to determine and implement the patient plan of careProvide patient and family-centred careAdditional tasks as assigned by Community Nursing ManagerRole Requirements
Current registration with the CNO, candidate must be in good standingValid work / study permit (if applicable)Current CPR / First Aid CertificationComplete immunization record (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B)Clean Vulnerable Sector Screen (within 3 months of hire)Strong documentation and clinical skillsHigh level of interpersonal skillsAccess to a vehicle is considered an assetMust have complex care experience :Tracheostomy suctioningVentilatorsG and J tube feedingWhile we thank all applicants that apply, only qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews.
