The Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager in our Beauty & Home Care division reporting to the V.P. Sales - Beauty & Home Care. The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a group of key accounts within an assigned portfolio and/or geographical area focusing on developing and managing sales plans and programs while maintaining strong working relationships with the accounts to drive sales and growth for the brands and product lines.
Responsibilities
- Manage a group of key accounts in the retail sector through building / maintaining strong relationships, effective planning, and identifying opportunities for new sales and growth.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Grow business in all channels (store, e-commerce, D2C) through strategic account management.
- Explore and target new business opportunities.
- C onduct market research to understand industry trends and identify new and emerging opportunities. Stay informed about competitor activities and market shifts.
- Prepare and conduct customer negotiations for pricing, promotions, and supply in collaboration with senior sales management to ensure all agreements are in line with business goals.
- D evelop a strong understanding of customer strategies, business plans, practices and processes in order to optimize business results .
- Prepare and conduct product line reviews with accounts to review performance and identify gaps in a retailer’s assortment, new opportunities, challenges, and solutions to those challenges.
- Prepare accurate forecasts for sales activity, revenue projections, and SKU level product requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Create, present, and manage the execution of promotional programs and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs.
- Track and measure account POS to ensure successful program sell through.
- Prepare and present reports, updates, and analysis on key sales metrics and market conditions.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and divisions to ensure commitments to customers are met and resolve issues as they arise.
- Attend and participate in trade shows (travel required).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / College Diploma, preferably in Business or Marketing
- 5 - 7 years key account management experience within consumer packaged goods
- Experience working with retail accounts
- Strong understanding and knowledge of e-commerce and digital
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to c ollaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, planning, and customer service
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Strong time management ski lls, sense of urgency, and excellent follow-through on plans/programs/tasks
- Outstanding analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Strategic thinker and able to develop long term-plans for retailers, channels, and products
- Results oriented and focused on achieving sales targets and KPI’s
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams; knowledge of SAP an asset
- Willingness to travel as required to establish and maintain business relationships

- Salary: $90,000 - 100,000. Salary will depend on experience.
