The Opportunity

Summary :

We are looking for a Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake to join our team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. This role requires strong experience with ETL processes, and big data technologies to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

What you will do?

Design, develop, and maintain efficient ETL / ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.

Build and optimize data models, ensuring high performance and scalability in Snowflake .

Implement best practices for Snowflake data warehousing , including schema design, partitioning, and performance tuning.

Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, or Scala .

Integrate data from various sources, including APIs, databases, and third-party tools.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across platforms.

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support business intelligence and reporting needs.

Implement data security, compliance, and governance best practices.

What Youll need?

3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake (warehouse design, performance tuning, and data ingestion).

Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).

Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation.

Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow, DBT, or Talend .

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and services like AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, and Redshift .

Knowledge of big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop .

Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices .

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with real-time data processing (Apache Flink, Spark Streaming, etc.).

Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).

Exposure to CI / CD for data pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Understanding of machine learning pipelines and MLOps.
