Garland Commercial Ranges isseeking a highly motivated and skilled Jr. Full Stack Developer (Contractor) to join our in-person team at our Mississauga, Ontario facility. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean, efficient, and well-structured code, has strong problem-solving skills, and can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

This role will involve developing and maintaining web applications using modern frameworks, integrating APIs, and working closely with internal teams to support our ongoing digital initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects within a collaborative and supportive team.

Reporting to the IT Director, this position is 100% based onsite in our Mississauga, Ontario facility. This is a full-time, temporary role that is an addition to headcount. There may be a possibility of a contract extension or moving to a full-time position.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using MVC frameworks (Laravel).
• Develop and maintain object-oriented code in PHP.
• Design and implement relational database structures, write efficient queries, and perform data manipulation tasks.
• Integrate and design RESTful APIs following modern best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, version control management (Git), and Agile / Scrum processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Write and maintain clear, concise technical documentation.
