Primary Objective Of The Position
The Fleet Engineer supports and assists the Manager of Engineering to manage day‑to‑day fleet aircraft maintenance requirements, ensuring technical dispatch and operational efficiencies in line with Cargojet’s MCM / MPM Manual & technical documentation.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide initial assessment for Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.
- Evaluate and prepare cost / benefit analysis for Service Bulletins and other technical information.
- Disseminate technical information to staff through implementation of fleet campaigns.
- Provide technical support to MCC and input to Material Control for Rotable repair work scopes.
- Assist in work specification development for engine shop visits, and coordinate and oversee heavy maintenance activities.
- Assist the Reliability Program with delay analysis and corrective action programs.
- Provide technical input to Planning for heavy maintenance.
- Assist with aircraft weight and balance control and maintain NAV / DATA / GPS Terrain Data and ELT databases.
- Assist with aircraft modification programs, special projects, and fleet acquisitions.
- Assist with revisions to Minimum Equipment List (MEL) manuals as required.
- Prepare Quarterly ETOPS reporting to Boeing.
- Maintain knowledge of all company and government manuals / documents.
- Communicate with Duty Managers and Maintenance Senior Management.
- Maintain personal training and remain current with all technical and regulatory training requirements.
- Ensure a clean and safe workplace for team members.
- Ensure compliance with Safety Management System (SMS) and safety / security policies, procedures and standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering or Manager of Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications
Transport Canada AME M2 License.5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.Type Rating on B757, B767 or B777, or experience on Transport Category Aircraft (asset).Ability to obtain an RAIC and AVOP.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Excellent communication skills, problem‑solving abilities; detail-oriented, able to multi‑task and work well under pressure.Important To Know
