Technical Program Manager
Hybrid role based in downtown Toronto; required to be on site at least 3 days per week. Responsible for leading cloud migration, transformation, and integration projects for financial services clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cloud migration engagements, ensuring successful transition of applications from on‑prem to AWS.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple teams.
- Oversee integration with upstream and downstream systems, including third‑party applications.
- Ensure compliance with cloud governance, resiliency, and risk management frameworks.
- Drive delivery excellence by applying Agile practices and continuous improvement principles.
- Partner with client architects and delivery teams to define cloud migration strategies (re‑hosting, re‑platforming, re‑architecting).
- Provide technical leadership across multiple workstreams (infrastructure, application, data modernization).
- Collaborate with DevOps to establish best practices for serverless, containerized, and microservices‑based applications.
- Evaluate and recommend AWS‑native solutions to enhance scalability and cost efficiency.
- Support technical due diligence, cost modeling, and proposal development for new cloud opportunities.
- Mentor development and operations teams in AWS architecture principles and cloud best practices.
Required Qualifications
10–12 years of experience in program or senior project management within financial services or large enterprise environments.Proven track record delivering complex, multi‑stream transformation programs.Deep understanding of banking products (mortgages or home lending) and industry regulations.Strong knowledge of AWS cloud concepts and services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda).Experience leading cloud migration programs from on‑premises to AWS.Excellent program and project management skills (planning, scheduling, dependency management, risk tracking, issue resolution).Ability to manage multiple workstreams across infrastructure, application, security, and data teams.Proficiency with Agile and hybrid delivery models (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Waterfall).Compensation
Estimated salary range : $115,000–$165,000 per year. Pay is determined by skill level, experience and certifications. This role is an existing vacancy.
