Business Development Representative (Remote)

Upstream Works Software – Pay Range

Base pay : CA$60,000 – CA$70,000 per year. Bonus available.

We are an experienced organization focused on delivering empowering solutions for customers and employees alike. We help leading brands deliver exceptional customer and agent experiences. We seek a Business Development Representative to join our Toronto-based North American sales team.

Overall Summary

As a Business Development Representative, you will research, qualify, nurture, and hand over opportunities to the sales team, maintain accurate data in Microsoft Dynamics, drive awareness of product releases, webinars, trade shows, and support sales quoting and follow‑up.

Responsibilities

  • Research, seek, qualify, nurture, and hand over relevant opportunities to the sales team.
  • Actively grow Upstream Works' universe of relevant contacts, converting them into qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate data in Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Drive attendance and awareness of product releases, webinars, trade shows.
  • Ensure smooth transition at qualification–sales handoff points.
  • Provide coverage for salespeople regarding quoting and follow‑up on quotes.
  • Act as a sales support function when required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience building relationships and qualifying opportunities for enterprise software, preferably in the contact center industry.
  • Background in setting up a business development capability.
  • Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize time while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across a broad range of industries and a global market.
  • Proficiency with Salesloft, Microsoft Dynamics, and sales and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong background in contact center software, preferably enterprise omnichannel and integration.
  • Experience in the contact center industry is a huge advantage.
  • Hybrid position; candidates ideally located near Woodbridge, Ontario.
  • Compensation

    Base salary CA$60,000–CA$70,000 + bonus. Existing vacancy.
