The Data Architect will be responsible for collecting, documenting, and maintaining metadata and data lineage across systems, business processes, and data domains.
This role ensures that data governance requirements are incorporated into business and technology initiatives.
The architect will work closely with data owners, stewards, developers, and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate metadata, create lineage documentation, support data lifecycle transparency, and promote data governance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Collect metadata and lineage information for systems, key business processes, and data domains across multiple lines of business.
Develop and maintain detailed data lineage documentation, including data flow diagrams, process maps, and metadata catalogs.
Identify and document data transformations to support traceability and transparency across the data lifecycle.
Oversee metadata repositories and ensure accuracy and completeness of lineage documentation.
Collaborate with data owners, stewards, developers, and production support teams to maintain up-to-date metadata and lineage assets.
Coordinate work efforts across multiple teams, integrating metadata and lineage tasks into standard project workflows.
Support governance initiatives by aligning metadata practices with enterprise data management standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
3+ уры of experience in data lineage, data governance, data management, or related disciplines.
Strong understanding of data governance principles, data lifecycle frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage methodologies.
Proficiency with metadata governance tools, advanced SQL, and data lineage concepts.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Proficiency with Advanced SQL, Python, and other querying languages.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (macros, formulas, pivot tables).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in AML, Fraud, or Payments domains.
Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and cloud platforms (OrtAWS / Azure).
Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
