Based out of the Burlington Head Office and working closely with various stakeholders across the organization, the Treasury Operations Accountant is responsible for treasury governance, banking and accounting functions. The role requires a self-starter mindset, strong analytical abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and adherence to internal policies and controls. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the Burlington office.

What You Will Do
Prepare consolidated bank account reconciliations for CAD and USD accounts on a monthly basis, adhering to SOX controlsPrepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations related to all cash GL accounts monthlyUpload and match daily cash and credit card transactions into BlacklineAct as liaison between Moneris and the company, ensuring operational activity across all branchesManage daily cash related transactions and administrative functions for the assigned banking portfolioConduct monthly and on-demand analysis of activities related to FX, bank fees, and credit card fees, identifying causes of fluctuations from trendSupport other team members with their portfolios when requiredParticipate in projects related to treasury process improvements, compliance and other initiatives as requiredWhat You Will Bring
2-5 years’ experience in accounting and / or treasuryDegree / diploma in finance, accounting, or related fieldStrong PC skills (MS Excel, Oracle, Smartview, Blackline)Team player with excellent interpersonal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organization skills with the ability to meet tight deadlinesFluency in French is an assetPlease note : This position requires the result of a satisfactory criminal record check.
